David Scott

David has worked in the English language teaching industry for over 35 years. He has taught, trained teachers, led schools and worked across countries including the UK, Australia, Spain, France, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Vietnam.

After founding English Language Company in Sydney in 2003, David started Fluent Education after living in Vietnam and seeing the opportunity to create a more supported, human way for young teachers to experience the country. Since then, Fluent Education has helped more than 1,200 teachers begin their Vietnam adventure.

Anh has led the Vietnam teaching programme since 2011. With a Business Management degree from Swinburne University in Melbourne and more than 15 years in education, she works closely with Fluent Education’s school partners to arrange placements, review contracts, and make sure accommodation, transport and program details are in place.

Anh also supports teachers directly before and during their placement. She helps with applications, documents and pre-departure preparation, organises orientation week in Hanoi, and remains a key point of support throughout the semester.

Tu Nguyen Fluent Education

Tu Nguyen

Tu has been part of Fluent Education since 2017 and plays a key role in supporting teachers before and during their semester in Vietnam.

With a background in International Economics from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Tu began her career helping place native-speaking teachers into local schools. Today, she supports teachers with pre-departure paperwork, school approvals, orientation week in Hanoi and ongoing welfare throughout the semester.

Tu has helped more than 1,000 international teachers settle into life in Vietnam. She works closely with Anh to make sure every teacher feels safe, prepared and supported from arrival through to the end of their placement.
